By Adeboye Amosu: Nigeria increased her medal haul at the ongoing Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games after Faith Obazuaye picked a silver medal in the Women’s TT6-10 Singles event early Saturday morning, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.
It was Team Nigeria’s first medal of the day following a fruitful Friday which saw them claim four gold, one silver and three bronze medals to moved to eight position in the medals table.
Obazuaye, competing in the final of the event against Australia’s Melissa Tapper lost 3-1 (7-11, 11-2, 11-6,11-13).
She started brightly, picking the first set 11-7 but Tapper blew her away by winning the next three sets.
With her feat, Team Nigeria has now won eight gold, six silver and five bronze medals.
