Watford boss Javi Gracia has praised the way Roberto Pereyra is working as part of the team after his superb start to the season. Pereyra had scored seven Premier League goals from 45 appearances prior to the start of the season but has bagged three in three games this term to help the Hornets sit fourth in the table with a 100 per cent record.
The Argentina international notched the third of those in the Hornets’ 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at the weekend and appears to be playing with a confidence that can only be good for both club and player.
The former Juventus man’s goals have clearly been important but Gracia has been more impressed with how he has become a team player and his contribution to the overall performance.
“He is an important player for us,” he said. “I think in this moment he feels confident and he finishes his chances to score very well.
“He is working with a good balance with the rest of the team. He’s showing a good attitude when we lose the ball, pressing high.
“Most important at the moment is the attitude of the team, but everybody knows he is playing well.”
