Watford are reportedly set to off manager Javi Gracia a three-year contract extension. The Spaniard originally took over the managerial reins at Vicarage Road from Marco Silva in January and he helped the Hornets steer clear of any relegation danger as they ended the campaign in 14th place.

Gracia has continued that good work this season, as Watford have won six of their opening 11 top-flight games and currently sit eighth in the standings.
The 48-year-old now looks set to be rewarded for his good work by becoming the first Watford manager since Malky Mackay in 2011 to be offered a contract extension.
The new deal would see Gracia remain in charge of the Hornets until the end of the 2020-21 season and it would also buck the trend at Vicarage Road, as none of Watford’s last eight managers have lasted more than a year in charge.
It remains to be seen whether Gracia will sign his new contract before Watford’s next fixture – Saturday’s Premier League clash with Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium.Copyright © 2022 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
