Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has stated that he is not under any pressure to win the English Premier League title this season despite spending more than £200m on players this summer to bolster his squad.
Guardiola added Bernado Silva, Benjamin Mendy, Kyle Walker, Danilo and Ederson to his squad having finished 15 points adrift of Chelsea who won the title last season.
Guardiola's men take on Brighton on Saturday in their season opener.
"We had one of the oldest teams in the Premier League so we decided to put energy in the team for the next five, six years," Guardiola said during his pre-match conference on Friday.
"Last season we finished 15 points behind. I was confident then too.
"We are here to win the games. I am honest in my job and I will do my best. I feel the same pressure. Every game is complicated.
"In the next few years City will buy one, two, maybe three players. (The current players) are young and will stay for the future.
"Hopefully next season I will be here and we are not going to spend how we have this season. We have spent of course, but all the teams have spent. In the market we will see what happens until the end of August."Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
