Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, says his side must remain focused on winning the most important title of their season, The English Premier League.
Guardiola’s Manchester City boosted their chances of winning their first EPL title since 2014 by defeating Arsenal 3-0 at The Emirates on Thursday.
It was a massive result and a befitting way for Guardiola to celebrate his 100th game as Manchester City manager.
Goals from Bernado Silva, David Silva and Leroy Sane sealed the three points for Manchester City in the encounter.
“We are fighting for the most important title of the season, the Premier League. We have always been more focused on this than the Champions League, the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup,” Guardiola said during his post match interview.
”We must be focused. The next six fixtures in the Premier League are terrible in terms of the quality of our opponents. Four of our fixtures are also away!
”It’s so difficult to win two games in a row in three days against a team like Arsenal it’s so complicated.
”Mentally, we were strong. We were clinical. We scored three outstanding goals.”
