Simona Halep says her “biggest goal” is to finish the year as the world number one. The Romanian is currently at the top of the WTA rankings, ahead of Caroline Wozniacki and Angelique Kerber.
Halep won her first major title this year at the French Open and in an interview with the New York Times admitted it was “even better to win a Grand Slam” than to be the world number one.

However, now the 27-year-old holds top spot in the WTA rankings, she is desperate to ensure she keeps hold of it going into the WTA Finals in Singapore.
When asked how motivated she is ahead of the WTA Finals and to finish the year as the No. 1, Halep said: “I’m 100 per cent motivated. It’s my biggest goal. I’m going to give everything I have in this period to finish No. 1. I can do better than last year. It’s going to be great.”
Halep finished as the runner-up in the WTA Finals in 2014 but has fallen in the round robin stage in each of the last three years.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
