Georgia Hall has revealed one of her major goals for 2019 is to become world number one. English star Hall enjoyed a stellar 2018 as she broke her LPGA duck as a professional with victory at the Women’s British Open, which just so happened to be her maiden major title.
The 22-year-old was crowned Ladies European Tour Player of the Year for the second straight year and has climbed to eighth in the world rankings, her highest ever position since turning pro in 2014.
Attentions are already being turned towards the plans for 2019 and Hall, who is expected to be part of Europe’s 2019 Solheim Cup team, says she has her eyes on the number one spot.
She was quoted as saying by the Guardian: “I got all my other goals. I haven’t set out my targets for next year. I need to get that done by the end of December. But I already know that world No 1 is first on the list.”
