Lewis Hamilton has conceded that Ferrari were much faster than him on the day as Sebastian Vettel stormed to Belgian Grand Prix victory.
Hamilton qualified on pole at a dramatic race which saw a huge crash at the first corner involving Fernando Alonso and Charles Leclerc, but Vettel took the lead on the opening lap.
The 33-year-old reigning champion was unable to catch the German, who has cut the points deficit at the top of the table following the win in Belgium.
And Hamilton says that he could do no more during the race and that Vettel was simply stronger in every department.
“They just blitzed us today, there’s not really another way of saying it,” he admitted after finishing a long way behind his rival in the race. “11 seconds is a big, big gap.
“He had the perfect gap between me and him going into Eau Rouge,” he continued. “There’s just not anything I can do to stop it.
“Naturally you try to come out the corner and get far enough ahead so there’s not enough time for them to catch up.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
