Hamilton: Falconets Will Beat Mexico

Former coach of the Super Falcons Paul Hamilton has expressed optimism that the Falconets has what it takes to overcome Mexico in today’s group C clash of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Canada.

Speaking with Complete Sports, Hamilton stated that the Falconets pedigree in the competition will give them the edge over the Mexicans.

“Since the inception of the U-20 World Cup, Nigeria has always been a force to reckon with and I think this will give them the advantage against Mexico, I believe they have what it takes to collect all the three points.”

Hamilton, who once coached the Super Eagles, however advised the team against being complacent, and also said the outcome of the game against Mexico will determine how far they will go in the competition.

“The team should guide against complacency because that can affect them in the competition. They should remain focus all the time because the only way they can go far is being focus and concentrate.

“And I think the team’s game against Mexico will determine if they will go as far as their predecessors who got to the semi-final stage last time.”
