Hammers are being linked with a swoop for Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama in the January transfer window. Wanyama’s time with Spurs looks to be over as he struggles for regular action and reports are rife suggesting that Manuel Pellegrini wants him on board at the London Stadium.
Another midfielder is required after Carlos Sanchez was ruled out for the remainder of the season with a serious knee injury, and Wanyama could be his replacement.
The Kenyan midfielder is a proven Premier League performer and would no doubt jump at the chance to make the short switch to the Hammers, if Pellegrini stepped up his interest.

The arrival of Wanyama could spell the end of Sanchez’s time with West Ham though, as it is claimed he is set for a sharp exit from the club once he is back fit.
Sanchez only signed from Lazio in the summer and a return to Italy has been mooted.
