–After Hapoel Beer Sheva debut
Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu has expressed his joy after making his debut for Hapoel Beer Sheva on Tuesday in the Israeli TOTO Cup against Maccabi Petah Tikva which ended 0-0.
The game which was played inside the Arthur Vasermil Stadium, Beer Sheva, saw Ogu playing 73 minutes before he was withdrawn for Ran Rubin.
“Played in the TOTO Cup today (Tuesday) in Israel; had 73 minutes and it was great to be on the pitch again, the fans were amazing,” Ogu wrote on his twitter handle.
Ogu joined Hapoel Beer Sheva after a frustrating experience with Portuguese outfit Academica de Coimbra last season.
He was surprisingly dropped from the Eagles side that featured at this year’s FIFA World Cup held in Brazil, and was overlooked again by the coaching crew for this weekend’s AFCON 2015 qualifier against Congo Brazzaville in Calabar.
