Anzhi Makhachkala midfielder, Lukman Haruna, is extremely delighted to be recalled to the Super Eagles five years after his last national team appearance and promises to justify Sunday Oliseh’s faith in him.
Haruna last featured for the three-time Africa Cup of Nations champions at the FIFA 2010 World Cup in South Africa but has been overlooked by successive coaches since.
He told completesportsnigeria.com exclusively from his base in Russia that coach Oliseh has given him a rare chance to justify his relevance in the Super Eagles.
“I’m just looking forward to this game because it’s an exciting time for me, this news is a challenge for me to come and give my best,” Haruna told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“I want to be a useful addition to the squad and I believe we will continue improving.”
Nigeria will face Tanzania in their second AFCON 2017 qualifying game in Dar es Salaam which is Sunday Oliseh’s first game in charge of the team.
