Hassan On Target In Midtjylland Win; Musa, Onazi Lose, Obi Wins

Nigerian forward Rilwan Hassan scored for Midtjylland in their 2-0 home win against Brondby in the Danish League on Sunday.

Hassan opened the scoring for Midtjylland in the 42nd minute before Martin Pusic sealed the win on 65 minutes.

The goal was Hassan’s second in eight appearances this season.

While Hassan later went off for David Royer with 15 minutes left, another Nigerian Paul Onuachu replaced Pione Sisto on 79 minutes.

In the Italian Serie A, Ogenyi Onazi was an unused substitute for Lazio who lost 4-1 to Roma in the Rome derby.

Goals from Stephane El Shaarawy, Edin Dzeko, Alessandro Florenzi and Diego Perotti secured the win for Roma.

Also in Italy Joel Obi played for Torino who beat 10-man Inter Milan 2-1 at the San Siro Stadium.

Obi was to later go off for Danielle Baselli on 56 minutes.

Former Super Eagles skipper Vincent Enyeama was in goal for Lille and kept a clean as they beat Nantes 3-0 away in the French Ligue 1.

Abdullahi Shehu featured for Uniao de Madeira in their 2-2 home draw against Vitoria Setubal in a Portuguese Primera Liga.

Shehu was introduced on 77 minutes for Amilton.

Still in Portugal, Anderson Esiti saw action for 90 minutes as his side Estoril beat Pacos de Ferreira 1-0.

He however got a yellow card in the 40th minute of the game.

In the Spanish La Liga, Ikechukwu Uche was overlooked for selection as Malaga were held to a 1-1 draw against Espanyol.

Super Eagles winger Ahmed Musa saw 90 minutes of football but ended on the losing side in Russia as CSKA lost 2-0 to Zenit St Petersburg.

And in Turkey, the duo of Aminu Umar and Raheem Lawal played in Osmanlispor’s 0-0 draw away to Fenebahce.

While Umar was replaced by Erdal Kilicarslan on 84 minutes, Lawal went off for Dzon Delarge in the 62nd minute.
