Belgium star Eden Hazard has predicted that the Super Eagles of Nigeria will qualify behind Argentina from Group D at this year’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Also in Group D with Nigeria and Argentina are Croatia and debutants Iceland.
Hazard made the prediction on a diagram published on his Instagram page stating: “This is my prediction on 2018 World Cup! Lot’s of my @chelseafc teammates in mine.”
However, Hazard stated that the Super Eagles will face France in the round of 16 and will eventually be eliminated while Argentina will beat Denmark and progress into the quarter-finals.
On the fate of Belgium, Hazard predicted that Belgium will emerge world champions by beating England in the final.
He tipped Belgium to beat Poland in the round of 16, overcome Brazil in the quarter-final and go past France in the semi-finals.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be Belgium’s 13th appearance in FIFA’s premier competition since their debut at the first edition in 1930 in Uruguay.
Their best ever performance at the World Cup was at Mexico 1986 World Cup where they got to the semi-final and finished fourth.
They are in Group G at this year’s finals with England, Panama and Tunisia.
Hazard scored the winning goal from the penalty spot as Chelsea pipped Manchester United in the 2018 Emirates FA Cup final.
