By Sab Osuji:
Heartland of Owerri are not sure of the venue of the match day 17 Nigeria Professional Football League clash with Dolphins of Port Harcourt, completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The match has been slated for Sunday.
The Naze Millionaires were given two weeks to fix some areas in their Dan Anyiam stadium home ground and communicte to the league body for inspection.
Within the period, the club was asked to pick an alternative venue for their home games.
Completesportsnigeria.com recalls that Heartland opted for the Rojenny Stadium, Oba, near Onitsha.
They have already hosted FC Taraba there with a 2-0 victory.
But they beat a retreat, taking their next home game to Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt when they hosted IfeanyiUbah FC.
But with the match day 17 fixture against Dolphins next on the cards, Heartland decided not to play it in Port Harcourt and on Wednesday informed LMC to come and inspect the Dan Anyiam Stadium so they can host Dolphins in Owerri.
Completesportsnigeria.com was informed by a credible Heartland official that LMC said the notice given to them was short so they had to mandate an unnamed representative to take pictures of the rehabilitated stadium and send to them so they can fix when to come for full inspection.
“Those people came and took pictures and sent to the league body in Abuja. That was on Friday and since then we’ve been waiting for word from them so we can know if we are playing in Owerri or Rojenny Stadium, Oba,” completesportsnigeria.com was told.
Completesportsnigeria.com can report authoritatively that Dolphins arrived in Oba on Saturday for the match.
Dolphins coach Stanley Eguma said: “We know they picked Rojenny Stadium for their home gmes anh had previously hosted FC Taraba here.
“Besides, there is no counter directive yet from LMC.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
