Heartland, Enyimba In Oriental Showdown

Enyimba title credentials will be further to test when the six-time league Champions travel to Owerri to face Oriental rivals, Heartland Football Club of Owerri at the Dan Anyiam Stadium.

The People’s Elephant are currently  THIRD on the log and cannot afford to lose this tie after their 1-0  defeat to Lobi Stars in midweek. It was the former African Champions eight defeats on the road this season.

The Aba Millionaires are yet to win on their travels this season. But it is a record coach Kadiri Ikhana and his wards will hope to put and end to, in order to boost their title credentials.

One man who will play a crucial role for Enyimba , in this crucial encounter is Mfom Udoh, the light skinned hitman who has scored 13 goals for his side this season.

Udoh, who scored a brace for his side in their 4-0 thrashing of Bayelsa United in their week 27 encounter at the Aba Township Stadium.

The former Akwa United  will be eager to improve his goal tally even though team success will be paramount in his key.

Coach Ikhana can also count on the likes of Nzube Anaezemba, ageless Emeka Nwanna and Sibi Gwar for goals.

Heartland who have had a torrid time in this campaign need a win too to ease their relegation worries.

The Naze Millionaires enjoyed a 2-0 win against Nembe City in midweek and will go into this tie in a more buoyant  mood.

For a good coach to have not won away match from week one (1) to week twenty-nine (29), Enyimba coach, Kadiri Ikana should check himself he has a great problem which I think he should rectify before it is too late.
