Hertha Berlin boss Pal Dardai has revealed his delight with the club’s progress over the last few seasons. The 42-year-old has a strong and long-running association with Hertha and he has seen them go from strength-to-strength over the last few years.
Dardai made over 300 appearances for Hertha before working with the youth team and eventually taking up his current role with the first team in 2015.
He guided them to a 10th place finish last term and they head into Friday’s clash with Bayern Munich sitting fourth in the Bundesliga.
The Hungarian has praised his attacking options for helping them to start so positively and feels the younger members of the squad have also added good competition.
Dardai said: “We have systematically overhauled our playing profile in recent years. Against Gladbach (last week), we had seven players on the pitch who were capable of creating goals. That was not the case a few years ago.
“Our young players are motivating the older players to perform even better. Because they themselves want to keep playing for some time.”Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
