‘He’s Very Important For Us’- Rodgers Delighted To Have Ndidi Back After Injury Layoff

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is pleased to have Wilfred Ndidi back from injury, Completesports.com reports.

The Nigeria international has not made an appearance for the Foxes since picking up a harmstring injury in the 2-2 home draw against Burnley on September 25.

Ndidi featured as a substitute in Leicester’s Europa League 1-1 draw against Russian club Spartak Moscow on Thursday night.

Rodgers is especially thrilled to have the midfielder back and insisted that his defensive solidity will be invaluable for City going forward.

“He’s very, very important for us, from a defensive perspective,” Rodgers told the club’s official website.

“He covers a lot of space. In those defensive moments, you need that player to get back in. He’s a very, very important player for us and it’s great to have him back.”

Leicester City will face Leeds United in their next Premier League fixture at the Elland Road on Sunday.

  • Ndidi ranked highest for volume of his tackles, blocks and interceptions since he joined the foxes. Being one of Leicester’s City most important players. It isn’t surprising coach Brendan spoke gloriously of him. The good think going for him is that his place in the super eagles is secured for this month games. Good to have you back. Your fan.

    • I saw the match yesterday and I can tell you that guy is not fit for a full game. He needs some more time to recuperate fully. I will advise Rohr not to invite him because it is a waste.

Which match did you see?… Idiot. Has SE a good defensive mid fielder if not Ndidi? Fuk.

@lopar, you can make your comment without insulting Dafe. I think Ndidi needs to rest for few days before playing.

Wao Wao Wao! Guys, A half fit Ndidi is better than any defensive mid fielder on eagles bench. We are talking about the number 10 best defensive player in the World. His absence in the national team has cost a lot, CAR wouldn’t have won in Lagos.

Rohr can never joke with his jewel, Ndidi. Happy he has resumed playing and just can’t wait to see him with the team.
