Honda Marks 40th Anniversary In Grand Style; Team ACE110 Win Commemorative Football Match

It was a joyful celebration galore as Honda Manufacturing Nigeria Limited celebrated their 40th Anniversary earlier in the week, Completesports.com reports.

The colourful event which was held at their headquarters located on Km 6, Ota-Idiroko Road in Ogun State, witnessed the showcasing of some Honda products in the factory after which guests were treated to a great feast in buffet style during the reception.

Part of the activities to mark the celebration saw Team ACE110 presented with the trophy for winning the novelty football competition played in commemoration of the 40th anniversary.

Team FA came 2nd while Team CGL and Team Hawa came 3rd and 4th respectively.

Speaking at the grand occasion, Managing Director of the company, Katsuhiro Murooka said HMN has managed to successfully continue its operations for 40 years despite obvious challenges while reiterating that Honda will continue to strengthen the industrial revolution in Nigeria.

“Honda has created millions of jobs since inception and will continue to provide value through our products and services to enhance the quality of lives for Nigerians. I deeply respect the people who have supported this company for 40 years. And I hope Honda will stay in Nigeria for the next 40 years,” Murooka said.

Top dignitaries that grace the celebration include the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Mrs Noimot Salako-Oyedele; NADDC Director, Policy and Planning, Umar Farouk Jekada; the Olota of Ota, Oba Adeyemi Abdulkabir Obalanlege; the Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Japan in Nigeria, Shinozawa Takayuki, Special Guests Yoshishige Nomura and Toshiaki Konata among others.
