Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has revealed his delight after promising youngster Sam Surridge penned a new contract.
The 20-year-old is a graduate of Bournemouth’s academy but he is yet to make a senior appearance and has been loaned out over the last few seasons.
Surridge has spent time with Weymouth, Poole town, Yeovil Town and is currently in League Two with Oldham on a season-long deal.
The frontman has impressed with the Latics, netting six times in 11 appearances, and Bournemouth have rewarded him with fresh terms.
His new deal ties him to the Vitality Stadium until 2021 and Howe feels he can play a big role for the club in the future.
Howe said: “I’m pleased Sam has pledged his future to us – he is a talented player with a great attitude.
