"We all know the problem," Alozie, who represented and won medals for Nigeria in the women's 100m hurdles before switching nationality to Spain, told Completesportsnigeria.com from herbase in Spain on Monday.

"Let the Athletic Federation of Nigeria go back to our former way, how we all started: School sports, under-15, 20 etc, national camps."

Depite the enormous talent that have been discovered at athletics meets in Nigeria, the issue of management and welfare persist but Alozie insists that only a return to school sports is the way to reclaiming Nigeria's lost glory in athletics.

"Yes, that's where the national camp comes in," she added. "I'm 100% sure that the Nigerian talents didn't end with our set, we have a bunch of talents. Imagine how we were all pulling our weight during that period

"Your (Nigeria) 4X400m was being dreaded by other countries."

Alozie won silver for Nigeria in the 100 metre hurdles event at the 1999 World Athletics Championshup in Sevilla, Spain and still holds the African record and Commonwealth record in the event.

She also won silver in the 60m hurdle at the 1999 World Indoor Championship in Maebashi, Japan but changed nationality and represented Spain from 2001, who she also won medals for.
