West Bromwich Albion striker Brown Ideye has reassured fans via twitter that his ankle injury is ‘not that serious’.
Ideye opened his goal account for the Baggies in the 3-2 Capital One Cup win over Hull City last night, but injured himself in the process and was substituted shortly afterwards.
However, he tweeted on Thursday afternoon: “Thanks everyone for the love, my injury is not that serious; hopefully, I will be fine before the next game, thanks once again, thanks once again. #GreatGod.”
Albion’s next fixture is at home to Burnley this Sunday.
Ideye has not played for the Nigerian national team since the friendly game against Burkina Faso in 2013.
