The duo of Nigerian internationals, Brown Ideye and Victor Anichebe would be looking help struggling West Bromwich Albion return to winning ways today when they play host to Leicester City.
Last weekend, Ideye fired blanks while Anichebe made a scoring return after several weeks of injury lay-off for the Baggies but his lone goal could not salvage his side as they slumped to an embarrasing 1-4 loss at home against relegation strugglers QPR. That loss extended West Brom’s recent poor form to just one win in their last 5 matches.
And playing against the bottom of the table Leicester today, coach Tony Pulis would be banking on Ideye and Anichebe to combine well with club hotshot Saido Berahino to provide the goals to fetch them the three points and at least put a bit of a smile on the faces of their fans.
West Brom has dropped to the 14th position on the league table having garnered 33 points after 31 games and desperately need to halt their recent losing streak to stay clear of the possible threat of dropping into the relegation zone with just seven games to go before the close of the season.
Ideye has scored four goals in 20 games for the Baggies while Anichebe has two goals to his credit in 16 games.
