Brown Ideye’s joy of being handed a recall to the Super Eagles is in jeopardy,as he might end up missing the friendly games against Uganda and South Africa.
West Bromwich Albion manager, Tony Pulis, speaking in a Barclays Premier League pre-match interview confirmed the Nigerian was left out of the team to take on Manchester City due to an injury.
“Browny (Brown Ideye) has been playing with an injury, he has trained regularly with it the last three to four days and he was in contention to play but he felt it again yesterday,” he said. “After a test, we decided it’s best we leave him out of the team”
The severity of the injury was not confirmed by the manager but West Brom faithfuls are claiming he might need two weeks rest to fully recover from the injury.
Recall Ideye earned a recall to the Super Eagles after rediscovering his form at West Brom following a failed move away from the team in January.
