–Eagles striker looks forward to begin West Brom journey
Newly recruited West Bromwich Nigerian star, Brown Ideye is looking forward to meeting his new club’s fans and officials as he revealed through his twitter handle that he hopes to get his British visa this week, Complete Sports can report.
Ideye became Nigeria’s most expensive signing this summer after the Super Eagles forward moved from Dynamo Kiev of Ukraine to English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion for a record fee of 10 million pounds.
Speaking on his twitter handle, Ideye who could not make Coach Stephen Keshi’s list to the recently concluded 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil said: “Can’t wait to meet everyone. Hopefully my visa will be out this week.”
The Nigeria international who is expected to help the Premiership side improve on their last season performance has also thanked everyone in the club for the support he is getting from them within the short period he joined the team.
“Thanks to WBA for all the Support”, he wrote in his twitter handle.
West Bromwich it would be recalled also have Victor Anichebe on their pay list as former Super Eagles captain Kanu Nwankwo had played for the club in the past.
