Nigeria forward Brown Ideye was not in action for Olympiakos who defeated Austrian side SV Horn 4-1 in their first pre-season game in Austria on Monday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
But his compatriot Michael Olaitan who was away on loan at Belgian Pro League side KV Kortrijk last season featured as a second half substitute in the game.
Ideye who is expected to join up with the squad this week scored 12 goals in all competitions for Olympiakos who won the title for a record 43rd time last season.
Alan Pulido scored a first half brace in the fifth and 23rd minutes on Monday.
Kostas Fortounis scored Olympiakos’ third goal in the 34th minute of the encounter before Gianniotas scored the fourth.
Olympiakos will face Wacker Innsbruck on Thursday in their next pre-season game before tackling Belgian sides Gent and Lokeren next month.
