Exclusive By Johnny Edward:
West Brom forward Brown Ideye and Hapoel Be’er Sheva midfielder John Ogu top the list of returnees to the Super Eagles for next week’s international friendly against Bolivia in Uyo, Complete Sports has learnt exclusively.
The duo, conspicuously missing from the Eagles 2014 World Cup squad, will be joined by Volyn Lutsk midfielder Michael Babatunde and Reading star Hope Akpan for the high-profile friendly billed to hold at the Akwa Ibom Stadium Complex.
Ideye has regained form with the Baggies in England, scoring his seventh goal of the season to seal a 1-0 win over Stoke City and move the Baggies 11 points clear of the Barclays Premier League relegation zone at the weekend.
Ogu has been impressive for Hapoel Beer Sheva in Israel, scoring four goals from his defensive midfield role in 22 games and guiding his side to the play-off spot and the semi-finals of the Israeli Cup.
Other players confirmed in the 23-man squad are Ogenyi Onazi, Sone Aluko, Victor Moses, Emmanuel Emenike, Godfrey Oboabona, and Kenneth Omeruo.
The Eagles are expected to report to camp on the 22nd of March in Uyo.
