Nigerian forward Sylvester Igboun is eager to end his nine-month league goal drought for his side FC Ufa when they take on Ural in a Russian Premier League match on Saturday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Igboun, who is in third season at the club, last scored for Ufa in the league in their 2-0 win over Arsenal Tula on the 10th of October, 2016.
The 27-year-old scored three goals in 26 appearances in other competitions last season and has bagged seven in 54 games since he joined the club.
"It's worrisome but the fact that my efforts are appreciated by my coach consoles me sometimes," the former FC Midtjylland player told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"The goals will come soon and it could be against Ural on Saturday."
Igboun's compatriot Kehinde Fatai is also expected to be in action on Saturday.
At the VEB Arena in Moscow, Nigerian striker Aaron Samuel could make his first appearance for CSKA Moscow this season when they host SKA-Khabarovsk.
Samuel was an unused substitute in CSKA's game against Anzhi last weekend. He has made seven appearances since joining the club last year.
In Belgium, Peter Olayinka will lead Zulte-Waregem's attack on Saturday when they travel to the Kehrweg stadium to face Eupen.
Olayinka who bagged four goals during pre-season will be relied upon to deliver on Saturday.
