Ighalo Fires Blanks As Changchun Yatai’s Winless Streak Extends To Three Games

Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo fired blanks in his 21st start of the Chinese Super League season for Changchun Yatai who were forced to a 1-1 draw by Henan Jianye, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Ighalo who was in action for the entire duration of draw has scored 16 CSL goals this season for Changchun Yatai.

Nemanja Pejcinovic broke the deadlock for Changchun Yatai in the 58th minute before Ricardo Vaz Te scored nine minutes later to earned a share of the spoils for the home team.

Changchun Yatai have now failed to win in three consecutive CSL games.

Ighalo is expected to lead Nigeria’s attack in Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles in Victoria.

The former Watford striker will be hoping to end his nine game goal drought for the Super Eagles in Victoria.
