Nigeria striker Odion Ighalo will now work under Walter Mazzarri next season following the Italian coach's appointment as Watford's new manager on Saturday.
Mazzarri's appointment was confirmed by Watford on their official website on Saturday morning.
The 54-year-old Italian takes over from Quique Sanchez Flores, who departed after the end of last season.
Mazzarri, who has managed top Italian sides like Inter Milan, Napoli and Sampdoria, signed a three-year contract with the Hornets.
A statement on Watford's official website confirms the appointment, saying: "Watford Football Club is delighted to announce that it has reached agreement with Italian Walter Mazzarri to become its Head Coach with effect from July 1, 2016.
"The 54-year old, who enjoyed a 15-year playing career in his home country, has a wealth of experience managing in the top-flight in Italy and has signed a three-year contract at Vicarage Road.
"During his time in Serie A, Mazzarri has twice reached the Coppa Italia final with Sampdoria and Napoli – as well as guiding the latter to a second-place finish.
" His most recent appointment was made in 2013, when he joined Italian giants Inter Milan as Head Coach."
