–Dedicates Goal To God and Daughter; Odejayi Also On Target
Two-cap Super Eagles striker Jude Odion Ighalo was on target Friday night for his English Championship side, Watford FC as they grind out a 2-2 draw against Derby County.
Ten-man Derby County failed to put the Hornets to the sword despite Tom Ince firing them ahead but the visitors equalised in the 75th minute from a well-worked goal.
Adlene Guedioura played in Ighalo to score his 18th of the season with the outside of his right-foot.
The former Udinese forward would go on and dedicate the goal against the off-form Rams who once paraded former Eagles trojan, Taribo West, to God and his daughter, Bernice who was one-year old last Saturday.
Ighalo’s goal, his 20th in all competitions this season, ensures The Hornets are fourth on the league table with 73 points from 40 games.
Also on Friday night, one-cap Eagles forward Kayode Odejayi scored one of the goals for Tranmere Rovers as they drew 2-2 at Stevenage in an English League One game.
Odejayi’s 45th minute strike left the score at a 2-1 lead for his club.
The Nigerian has now scored four goals in the league this season.
The striker’s only game for the Super Eagles came in May 2008 in a friendly against Austria which ended 1-1.
