Super Eagles and Watford striker Odion Ighalo has expressed confidence that Chad will fall in Kaduna on 13 June when they lock horns in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Ighalo whose goals helped his English side to bag promotion to the Premier League said the Super Eagles will not underrate the Chadians just because they are not among the elite sides on the continent.
“We are not here for the fun of it,” he told completesportsonline.com. “We want to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations and we would not take Chad lightly come Saturday. They cannot stop us from making it to Gabon. It will be tough but we shall beat them well.”
Meanwhile 11 players, including six overseas-based and five home-based players trained yesterday inside the Main Bowl of the Abuja National Stadium under light rain showers.
The Europe-based players who trained were Onazi Ogenyi, Leon Balogun, Steve Ukoh, William Ekong, John Ogu and Babatunde Michael.Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
