After several attempts to restore parity after going a goal down, Ighalo finally won the penalty which led to Watford's equaliser. They still went on to lose the game following 2-1 following a late Troy Deeney's own goal.
Then on November 28, Watford were guests to struggling Aston Villa and at the end of 90 minutes, Watford won 3-2. Ighalo, who tormented Villa's defence throughout the encounter, gave Watford the lead.
