Ighalo: I’ll Love To Score Against Arsenal But…

Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo believes Watford can inflict a third league defeat on Arsenal when both teams clash at the Vicarage Road in Saturday’s Barclays Premier League clash.

Ighalo, who is Complete Sports Player of the Month and has scored five times for the Hornets so far this season, however is not desperate to score so long as his team claims maximum points from the encounter.

He also admitted that the clash won’t be an easy one for his side. The 26-year-old was quoted on Daily Mail: “I always want to score goals and it does not matter who I score against.

“If I score against Arsenal on Saturday and we lose the game I will not be happy. It does not matter if I score, I just want to help my team and make sure we win the game if it is possible.

“If the goal does not come and we win the game I will be so happy because it is team work and we have been working together as a team.

“Arsenal are flying and are doing well and you can see Alexis Sanchez is scoring for fun now.
“It is not going to be easy for us because they are a good team, a Champions League team, and they play some of the best football here in England.

“But we hope to cope with that. We hope to fight until the end. We will see what happens and a positive result would send out a signal to the other teams that they should be careful of Watford.”

Ighalo has found the back of the net five times for the Hornets on their return to the Premier League this season to take his number of goals for the calendar year to 21.

No other player across England’s top four leagues has scored more times than the Nigeria international in 2015.
