Nigeria forward Kelechi Iheanacho has admitted that it would be easy to become arrogant as he is set to sign a new £40,000-a-week deal at Manchester City.
The teenage star however insists he will continue to being his humble self and not let his blossoming career at the Etihad Stadium change his personality.
The 19-year-old is due to speak with new City manager Pep Guardiola soon, with City insiders insisting the youngster will receive even more chances to impress next year.
"I don't know anyone who is playing who doesn't want to keep improving and be at the top level," the Super Eagles starlet was quoted on Clubcall.
"I don't know if I will end up being a top player or not – I'll be working hard to achieve that and I wouldn't complain if that happened! I just have to keep going and see where it takes me.
"So much has happened in the past few years and it is difficult to take in. If you start thinking about being here one moment and there the next, your brain would get overloaded and your head would be spinning so it's best not to think about it too much."
