–After ankle injury layoff
Kelechi Iheanacho has revealed that he has resumed training with his English Premier League club, Manchester City, after an ankle injury.
Flying Eagles administrator, Aliyu Ibrahim revealed that the former Golden Eaglets midfielder informed him he has resumed training with his club.
“Kelechi has said he is back in training after he has recovered from an ankle injury which kept him out for several weeks,” Flying Eagles team administrator Aliyu Ibrahim Awal disclosed.
U-20 National team handler, Manu Garba had primed Iheanacho for the African Youth Championship, AYC slated for Senegal next month but Manchester City blocked the Nigerian starlet from the championship, claiming he would not have recovered in time for the tournament.
The Flying Eagles administrator hinted that no decision has been contemplated as regards having the player feature in the championship based on the latest development.
