Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho has been voted Complete Sports Player of the Month for April.
It was a landslide victory for the 19-year-old, as he polled 72 per cent of the votes by Complete Sports readers and Completesportsnigeria.com users.
Winner of the award for March, Alex Iwobi, finished second with 21 per cent, while Chidozie Awaziem of Porto had seven per cent.
Iheanacho kicked off April against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, where he was introduced for Sergio Aguero as Manchester City ran out 4-0 winners.
In City’s 1-0 second leg quarter-final Champions League win against PSG, on Tuesday 12 April, Iheanacho was a second half substitute for Aguero.
Four days later, Iheanacho replaced Aguero, as Manchester City thrashed Chelsea 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.
On Saturday 23rd, Iheanacho bagged a brace for Manchester City, in their 4-0 home win against Stoke City.
And against Real Madrid, in the first leg semi-final of the Champions League at the Etihad, Iheanacho was introduced for David Silva who went off injured.
In total, Iheanacho made five appearances in Manchester City’s eight games in the month of April, scoring two goals.
