Manchester City youngster Kelechi Iheanacho is sidelined by a hamstring injury, AfricanFootball.com has learnt.
“Kelechi called to tell me he is nursing a hamstring injury,” Flying Eagles coach Manu Garba revealed.
“But he did not tell me how long he will be out for.”
Depending of the severity, a hamstring could sideline a player for between two and six weeks.
Iheanacho shone at the recent pre-season tour of the United States of English Premier League champions City, scoring three goals.
Top City officials have since said such form have interested several other clubs, who want to have the forward on loan.
Iheanacho is expected to sign a professional contract with City when he turns 18 in October.
Midfielder Chidiebere Nwakali is the other Nigerian youngster at the top EPL outfit.
