Manchester City secured their sixth straight win in the English Premier League after defeating Swansea City 3-1 at Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
A brace from Sergio Aguero who returned from a three-match ban and a goal from Raheem Sterling earned City all three points.
Swansea's goal was scored by Fernando Llorente.
Nigeria youngster Kelechi Iheanacho who had filled in for Aguero in his absence was an unused substitute.
The win means City maintain their first position in the league table.
Swansea had the first chance of the game through Gylfi Sigurdsson in the 5th minute but his effort was ruled out for offside.
In the 8th minute Aguero gave Manchester City the lead after controlling Bacary Sagna's cross before slamming into the net.
Just four minutes later Llorente made it 1-1 rifling a shot past Claudio Bravo following Sagna's slip up.
Kevin De Bruyne went close for City on 34 minutes off a pass from Ilkay Gundogan but he dragged his effort just wide.
Early in the second half John Stones had the chance to put City ahead with a header off David Silva's corner but couldn't direct his effort towards goal.
In the 58th minute Raheem Sterling almost put City in front after rounding Lukasz Fabianski but could only find the side net.
Aguero made it 2-1 in favour of City on 66 minutes from the penalty spot dinking the ball down the ball after Mike van der Hoorn fouled De Bruyne.
City made their first change on 68 minutes with Fernando replacing Gundogan.
In the 73rd minute Swansea made a double change with Modou Barrow and Sung-Yueng Ki going in for Wayne Routledge and Jack Cork.
Sterling scored to put City 3-1 up in the 76th minute off a City counter attack.
And in the 80th minute City removed De Bruyne who looked to have sustained a hamstring injury for Jesus Navas.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
