Nigeria forward Kelechi Iheanacho was handed a starting spot in Manchester City 1-1 draw against Everton at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku put the visitors ahead in the 68th minute, while substitute Nolito equalised for City in the 72nd minute.
The hosts missed two penalty kicks in the encounter with Maarten Stekenberg preventing Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero from hitting the back of the net.
Iheanacho came close to breaking the deadlock for his side in the 52nd minute but his close range effort was saved by Stekenberg.
He was substituted two minutes later by Aguero.
