Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, is thrilled to see Leicester City end their pre-season campaign on a winning note and is already looking forward to the start of the of the 2017/2019 English Premier League season, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Iheanacho who struggled to earn a starting spot with the Foxes last term put himself in manager’s Claude Puel’s thinking by grabbing four goals in three pre-season outings.
The former Manchester City player hit a brace as Leicester City rallied from a goal down to beat French club, Lille 2-1 in their final pre-season game on Saturday night.
He is already buzzing ahead of the new campaign in the Premier League which he hopes will be a successful one for his club. Leicester will play away at Manchester United in their Premier League first game of the 2018/19 season on August 11.
”Good to end the preseason with a win, hope we reflect that in the upcoming games ⚽️⚽️✅🙌🏾,” Iheanacho wrote on his Twitter handle hours after the game.
Leicester City will face Manchester United on Saturday in the opening game of the new season.
