Iheanacho Makes It 4 Goals In 3 Games With Brace As Leicester Win At Lille

By Johnny Edward:

Kelechi Iheanacho grabbed a brace in pre-season for Leicester City who defeated French side, Lille Metropole 2-1 at the Stade Pierre Mauroy on Saturday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The strikes took Iheanacho’s tally to four in three pre-season games having earlier scored against Udinese and Valencia.

The Nigerian forward powered in a brilliant header to draw his side level in the 43rd minute after Lebo Motibha had shot the hosts, Lille into the lead after four minutes.

The forward who looks ready for the start of the 2018/19 Premier League season doubled his side’s lead a minute just before the hour mark firing in Ben Chiwell’d cross from close range.

His compatriot Wilfred Ndidi also featured in the game.

The pair were replaced in the 75th minute of the encounter.

Leicester City will face Manchester United at Old Trafford in a mouth-watering English Premier League opener next Friday.

He has scored again oh. Let the debate begin. Both for and against. Fans and critiques over to you.

  • This guy is just a flash in the pan. He will soon be playing in Saudi Arabia.

  • Bomboy 3 years ago

This may be his season to outshine Vardy, but I doubt it. He is too inconsistent.

    • Walking 3 years ago

      I go with you..
If only he can cross the inconsistency hurdle..

  • Balorx 3 years ago

thats what am trying to say. do you knw how many goals iheanacho scored in training b4 world cup. when important games come up. he tend to pay poorly

  • I agree with @Bomboy and @walking. Iheanacho is lightweight. He blows hot and cold. Taiwo Awoniyi is better.

  • There is nothing inconsistent in him. Even Vardy or other big striker doesn’t score in every match. You guys should remember that this is his first full pre season with leceister and also remembered that he had injury prior to d beginning of the season, also acclimatization issue plus manager no trust in him affected him last season. We all saw how he performed towards d end of last season. I’m sure with the right frame of mind and more playing time he will do well

Again, am constrained to respond to our feeds on one major ground:I hear some people say kelechi is too inconsistent,I will like to say those guilty of that statement really need to apologise to him.Kelechi for ur info is one of the most consistent strikers in the world and I make bold to say so- at M- City he proved it, returning the best goal per minute ratio in the entire Eaurope even better the likes of Messi and CR7.Even when Guadiola came and he fell on the pecking order(not because he was a bad player but due to the policy and whatever the coach believed) he comes in sparingly and still scores. At Leister he came in half season and was nursing an injury yet coupled with the fact that he met already established players on ground still scored some very vital goals with many of them coming in FA cup.Now this is his full season and he has started like this he can only get better.Kelechi has never been known to be inconsistent he only needs a coach that will trust him.Even though Jesus played more games than him last season he did not score considerable goals than Kelechi.Given the chance and trust he will perform.

And Jesus was a big time flop at the Mundial. You’ve said it all my man. Just passing by. Kelechi continue to prove your critics wrong. Four goals in 3 games no be isi ewu.

      • Just because Brazil didn’t win the world cup does not mean that Jesus flopped.
I keep telling you, don’t compare Iheanacho to Gabriel Jesus. This Aphyllydegreat is starting to piss me off. Learn to respect your elders before commenting here. Do you know who we are? Just check yourself before you wreck yourself.

          • You got me Aphyllydegreat. Lol.

I thought you would fall for my trick..

I will catch you with another joke next time.

            Ha ha ha.

    congratulations iheanacho

One thing is certain iheanacho is very clinical in front of goal, but kudos should go to GR d 3weeks camping he had with them is bringing positives check all d players that played for SE at worldcup de r all doing well even his coach at liecester city said he came back with a different mentality ,now let’s be honest at man city guardiola didn’t sell kele because he is bad but d cabal wants him out  he was making  headlines whenever he gets a playing time n some of his teammates don’t celebrate with him whenever he scores, beside if Pep refuses to do d needful thing it will affect his performance ratio as a coach n we all know a tree can not make a forest, kele is a good striker any time day lets just wish him well n pray dat d ghost of man city don’t repeat itself a LC,we should celebrate him oo he is our own

  • De problem here is can gernot roh use him, wen he have is clinical striker ighalo.

    • Chidi 3 years ago

If GR retains Ighalo he has lost my support, even Oscar  of Brazil was not consider for selection so y ighalo?

  • The only player Guardiola sold with buy-back clause since he came to Man city. U think Guardiola is daft?
