Nigeria forward Kelechi Iheanacho is a major doubt for Leicester City’s Premier League home clash against Brighton Hove Albion on Saturday at the King Power Stadium, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Reports in England said the 20-year-old missed Thursday training ahead of their first home game of the season just as Vicente Iborra and Danny Drinkwater, who is reportedly close to a move to Chelsea.
Iheanacho’s compatriots Ahmed Musa and Wilfred Ndidi were part of Thursday’s session.
Iheanacho joined the Foxes last week from Manchester City for £25m and was handed his debut in their 4-3 loss to Arsenal in their matchday 1 clash at the Emirates stadium.
The Nigerian international came on for Matthew James in the 82nd minute of the encounter for his English Premier League debut for Leicester City.
Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare is expected to give more update about the fitness of the trio in his press conference on Friday.
