Iheanacho, Sanchez, Fabregas Make EPL Team Of The Week

By James Agberebi:

Super Eagles and Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho has been included in the English Premier League Team of the Week.

The Team of the Week was compiled by football facts and stats website whoscored.com and published on their Twitter handle on Friday.

Iheanacho’s inclusion in the list was as a result of his impressive performance for Liecester in their 3-1 home win against 10-man Arsenal in Wednesday’s Premier League clash at the King Power Stadium.

He scored Leicester’s first goal and contributed to Arsenal’s Kostantinos Mavropanos’ sending off after he was fouled when clean through on goal.

Other players who made the list include his Leicester teammates Eldin Jakupovic and Riyad Mahrez, Manchester United’s Alexis Sanchez, Cesc Fabrega of Chelsea and Leroy Sane of Manchester City.

The Team of the Week which is in a 4-4-2 formation, saw Iheanacho occupying one of the two striking positions alongside Sanchez.

His goal against Arsenal was his second after 20 Premier League games for Leicester this season.

EPL Team of the Week:

Eldin Jakupovic (Leicester City)

Danilo (Manchester City)
Jan Vertonghen (Tottenham Hotspur)

Oleksandr Zinchenko (Manchester City)

What a wonderful way to end the season. After having a difficult season, with both Man City and Leicester city, yet he is ending on a high. Something tells me this boy is destined for greatness like Kanu Nwankwo.
