Iheanacho Scores First Senior Goal As Nigeria Beat Mali

Kelechi Iheanacho scored his first senior international goal as the Super Eagles defeated Mali 1-0 in a friendly in Rouen, France on Friday.

The friendly is part of the Nigeria's preparation ahead of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers coming up later in the year.


Iheanacho, who was in brilliant scoring form for Manchester City this past season, scored the only goal of the match in the 77th minute, to give the Eagles the win.

The Eagles were captained by Ogenyi Onazi and featured the likes of Alex Iwobi, Moses Simon, Babatunde Michael, Brown Ideye, Odion Ighalo and Carl Ikeme.

They will take on Luxembourg on Tuesday, 31 May in their next international friendly game.
