Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has admitted that John Terry’s last-gasp equaliser against Everton was from an offside position in their 3-3 draw.
Everton was on the verge of securing all three points before Terry, who had earlier scored an own goal, flicked the ball from an offside position, past Tim Howard in the 98th minute.
In his reaction to the draw, Hiddink however hailed his players for their fighting spirit.
“I will not deny it- it was offside because Oscar touched the ball, even though John was technically perfect (with his finish).
“I took some risks (at 2-0 down) and it paid off in a spectacular way. The team is very resilient,” Hiddink said.
Commenting on the amount of time which was allowed by the referee, Hiddink said: “There was seven minutes extra-time- I said ‘ref, okay’ they are celebrating at least one minute in the corner.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
