Former Super Eagles defender and Abia Warriors centre-back, Ike ThankGod will link up with his new Enyimba teammates at their Ota camp this weekend, the towering stopper informed completesportsnigeria.com on Wednesday.
Completesportsnigeria.com had previously reported that the former Fanja FC of Oman defender was being courted by the two time African champions who last November scooped their record setting seventh domestic league title.
"The deal is already 80 per cent done," ThankGod told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"I'll be in Aba either on Wednesday or Thursday to sort a few things out.
"Then after that, I'll move to Ota by weekend to join them in pre season," ThankGod explained.
ThankGod confirmed he has agreed personal terms with Enyimba.
"Yes, we have settled issues pertaining to welfare and I'm impressed with what they offered," he added.
ThankGod played for Heartland in 2007-2011, helping them reach the 2009 CAF Champions League final before losing to TP Mazembe on away goal rule following an aggregate 2-2 draw.
In 2010, he was part of the home based Super Eagles squad led by Dan Amokachi that won that year's WAFU Nations Cup in Abeokuta.
ThankGod featured for Warri Wolves in 2012-2013 before moving to Fanja of Oman in 2014.
