Ikeme Returns For Wolves; Ighalo, Kayode Extend Goal Drought

Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper Carl Ikeme returned to Wolverhampton Wanderers' starting line-up for the first time in two weeks as they secured a 2-0 away victory over Nottingham Forest in the Skybet Championship at the City Ground on Saturday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Ikeme who kept his fourth clean sheet of the season in that encounter has made 17 Skybet Championship appearance for Wolves who moved to 18th in the log with 25 points from 22 games. 

Ikeme's  compatriot, Bright Enobakhare made his first start (third appearance) of the season in the Wolves' game against Nothingham Forest.

Super Eagles star, Victor Moses made his 16th appearance in the English Premier League for Antonio Conte's men in Saturday's 1-0 away win against Crystal Palace at the Selhurst Park.

Moses who was substituted for Branislav Ivanovic with ten minutes left to play has netted three times.

At the Stadium of Light, Odion Ighalo extended his goal drought in English Premier League to ten games on Saturday as his team, Watford lost by a lone goal to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

Ighalo last scored for the Hornets on match-day 3 against West Ham which Watford won 4-2 and has made 14 appearances for Watford.

His compatriot, Isaac Success was a 56th minute entrant for the Hornets replacing Juan Camilo Zuniga for his seventh substitute appearance of the season. He has one goal to his credit.

The game also saw the return of Victor Anichebe who made his eighth start of the season for Sunderland Cats. He has three goals to his name.

At the BET365 Stadium, Ahmed Musa came on for Riyad Mahrez in the 80th minute as ten man Leicester City fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 away at Stoke City. Musa has scored twice in 13th appearance this season.

In the Championship, Hope Akpan played for 86 minutes as Blackburn Rovers lost 3-2 at home to Reading.  Ryan Nyambe came on for Akpan who has made 12 appearances for the relegation battlers.

At the Craven Cottage, Sone Aluko was on for 87 minutes and was replaced by Stephen Humphrys in Fulham's 2-2 draw at home to Derby County. The game was Aluko's 22nd appearance albeit scoring four times.

In Spain, Uche Agbo was missing in action for Granada who lost 2-0 to Real Sociedad.

At the Opel Arena in Germany, Leon Balogun watched from the bench for all 90 minutes as FSV Mainz defeated Hamburger SV 3-1. The Nigerian defender has made 11 Bundesliga appearances this season.

In Belgium, the pair of Joseph Akpala and Kingsley Madu were unused substitute for the respective teams Oostende Zulte-Waregem who played out a 1-1 draw on Saturday. 

And in Austria, Kayode Olanrewaju extended his goal drought to four games in Austria Wein's 2-0 home win over Mattersburg. He has scored seven league goals in 19 appearances.

In Turkey, Emem Eduok saw 45 minutes of action for Kasimpasa who edged out defending champions Besiktas 2-1 at the Recep Tayyip Erdogan stadium. It was his 11th game of the season. He has two goals to his credit.

At the Basaksehir Fatih Terim stadium, Ogenyi Onazi was yellow carded in Trabzonspor's 1-0 loss away to Istanbul Basaksehir who didn't feature Musa Mohammed. Onazi has made 15 appearances since moving to Turkey scoring twice.
