Current handler of Enyimba FC and erstwhile coach of the Super Falcons Kadiri Ikhana has expressed hope that the Falconets makes it to the final of the women’s U-20 World Cup.
Speaking with Complete Sports, Ikhana stated his delight that the team scaled the quarter-final hurdle, hoping that come Sunday, they will be contesting for the trophy.
“It’s a nice one that we’ve qualified for the semi-final and I hope they will qualify for the final come Sunday.”
In the other quarter-finals, Germany defeated host Canada 2-0, North Korea overcame USA 3-1 on penalties while France also had to rely on the lotteries of penalties to see off South Korea 4-3.
And in the other semi-finals which is also billed for Wednesday, Germany will take on France.
