Indonesia: Odemwingie’s Goal Drought Extended As Madura Win

Former Super Eagles striker Osaze Odemwingie was in action for Madura United but did not score in their 2-1 home win against Persela Lamongan in the Indonesian top flight on Friday.

The game was Odemwingie's 17th league appearance, with 13 goals scored so far.

Madura United took the lead in the 12th minute but were pegged back by Kosuke Yama who equalised for Persela on 31 minutes.

With eight minutes remaining, Fandi Eko scored the winner to give Madura the win.

The win saw Madura maintain their leadership in the league table on 35 points.

Odemwingie has now failed to score in his last three league games for Madura.

The last time he scored was in a 1-0 home win on July 17.

Nigerian-born Indonesian international Greg Nwokolo also featured for Madura in the win against Persela.

Nwokolo has scored seven goals on 16 league appearances for Madura.
